Freediving Gear

Campers signed up for the SSI Freediving courses must purchase and complete the appropriate eLearning package.  Campers are encouraged to bring the following gear with them to camp:

  • Low Volume Mask designed for freediving
  • J-Snorkel designed for freediving
  • Long blade fins designed for freediving
  • Neoprene socks (3mm) - OPTIONAL
  • Fin Keepers - OPTIONAL

NOTE: This equipment is designed differently than gear for snorkeling and scuba diving.

There are several companies in the freediving industry that can provide high quality, entry level freediving gear at a better price than we can (from about $115 per set).  Our recommendations are listed below:

NOTE: Fin sizing generally displayed is in male shoe sizes. To convert female shoe sizes, subtract 2 from the female size.  Be sure to check the sizing information on the site you are working on.   ex. Female Size 6 = Male Size 4
